The Celebration of Excellence honors the best of the built environment, and marks the beginning of the EarthCraft resurgence.
Atlanta, GA — October 27, 2016 — Imery Group was named the 2016 Design Award for Excellence by Southface and the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (GAHBA) at the October 24 EarthCraft Celebration of Excellence. EarthCraft, the Southeast’s standard for green building, promotes energy, water and resource efficient homes and buildings.
The 2016 Awards were given in three overall categories: Achievement Awards, High Performance Awards and Design Awards.
Design Awards celebrate success in the field of high performance design. These projects combine efficiency, appeal and functionality in exceptional design schemes.

This year marks the resurgence of the awards program, last held in 2014, and a fresh take on what makes an EarthCraft project great. The awards were presented by Robert Reed, Director of Residential Sustainability Services at Southface. “The return of the EarthCraft Awards recognizes the surge in the industry to pre-recession levels,” Reed said. “We felt it was important to commend the strong example that these projects and this brand represent in the world of high performance buildings.” More than 70 green building professionals attended the event this year to celebrate the best that EarthCraft has to offer.
