There are many options and products available to insulate a home. The most common is batt insulation, those big pink fiberglass sheets everyone has come into contact with during home renovations and building. Another option is blown in insulation

. Within the category of “blown in” there are a few different varieties as well. Blown in insulation materials vary from cellulose to recycled paper to fiberglass. In one type of application (shown in previous videos) the insulation is mixed with an adhesive to keep it in place. In the mehtod shown in the video below we are using a blown in insulation in combination with bibs to hold the insulation in the walls and ceiling. In this application we have chosen to use high density fiberglass, which allows us to achieve R-15 grade insulation in only a 2×4 cavity.
