EEBA Appoints 5 New Members to Board of Directors 

Minneapolis, MN – October 31, 2017 – The Energy & Environmental Building Alliance (EEBA), a non-profit organization recognized as a leading provider of building science information and education, announces the appointment of five new members to their Board of Directors.

Joining the EEBA Board are Geoff Ferrell of Mandalay Homes, Alex Glenn of Advanced Energy, Rob Howard of Mitsubishi Electric Cooling & Heating, Luis Imery of the Imery Group, and Craig North of Tim O’Brien Homes. “All five of our newest board members bring years of experience and expertise in the high-performance home building and building science industries. We are honored and excited to have them join the EEBA Board, enabling us to advance our mission, vision and strategic objectives,” said Nancy Bakeman, EEBA’s Executive Director

Geoff Ferrell is Chief Technology Officer for Mandalay Homes, the nation’s highest volume builder of the DOE’s program for Zero Energy Ready Homes. Geoff oversees Mandalay’s home innovation, implementation and strategies to improve efficiency, durability, health, and comfort, while maintaining market competitiveness.

Alex Glenn is a Trainer and Consultant with a specialty in the design and delivery of high-impact educational products. Alex provides leadership in the residential marketplace while supporting cross-team initiatives including program design, technical consultation, account management, and business development.

Rob Howard is a Performance Construction Manager with Mitsubishi Electric Cooling & Heating. He provides training and technical support to builders, remodelers, architects, and engineers on variable refrigerant flow cooling and heating systems for residential applications.

Luis Imery, the founder of Imery Group in Athens, GA, is a home designer, home builder and innovator of the entire home building process, including neighborhood development, and energy performance evaluation. He has won several awards for sustainable building construction.

Craig North is the Vice President of Construction at Tim O’Brien Homes, Inc., a mid-sized semi-custom builder of single family homes specializing in economic green construction, and

currently launching Wisconsin’s first Net-Zero Community, where all 34 homes will carry a Department of Energy Zero Energy Ready Home certification.

These new members join the board along with other recent additions of Todd Usher of Addison Homes, and Chris Gibson of Owens Corning.

EEBA’s Board President, Gene Myers of Thrive Home Builders, states “Our recent Summit in Atlanta marked the beginning of the New EEBA, a vital provider of building science and practical business practices for builders of environmentally responsible and energy efficient homes. These new board members bring EEBA the nation’s top experts in the field.”
